“Old Palace“

Charlottenburg Palace is the largest and most important palace complex in Berlin and was a favorite place of the Hohenzollern family for over 200 years. Here, groups can discover the magnificent baroque state rooms of the Old Palace, the Palace Chapel and the East Asian Porcelain Cabinet.
Frederick the Great extended the palace in the 18th century by adding the New Wing, in which the splendid banqueting halls such as the White Hall and the Golden Gallery are among the most beautiful rococo rooms in Europe. The collection of French paintings from the 18th century, including works by Antoine Watteau, is also particularly fascinating.The New Wing is also home to the chinoiserie-style Summer Apartment and the early classicist Winter Chambers of Frederick William II. The palace gardens with the Mausoleum of Queen Louise, the Belvedere and the New Pavilion round off the experience.
Charlottenburg offers groups a unique insight into the courtly cultural history of Prussia, from its baroque beginnings to the early modern period.
